Just came across this - an 1:8 Harrier with a scale Pegasus (based on an electric ducted fan):

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Very impressive, I've seen a few attempts before but that was by far the most successful

The transition from forward flight to hover would be trickiest I would have thought.

Just like the real thing was too.
