The Big Gimper

This is a future attack UAV built by Boeing-Sikorsky. Sharp eyed modellers will see it has a very close resemblance to the failed 1996 RAH-66 Comanche helicopter. The name is an homage to the Sikorsky S-67 Blackhawk  ;)

The kit is the 1/72 Italeri RAH-66. Nice kit. I covered up the cockpit with styrene sheet. Added AIM-9 launch rails and AIM-65 Mavericks. Decals are from UAV and AV-8 kits.

Whatever.

Very nice!  I like the idea as a way to capitalise on the work done for Comanche.

But a Lt Col as 'pilot' of a UAV...?  Cushy posting he has found!

Looks good.
I wonder what you could put in place of the cockpit?  Pop out rocket packs?  Vulcan cannon?  BFO spotlight?

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I followed the same format as the MQ-8C. No changes to the cockpit area.

But maybe there will be a MQ-21B in the future.   :-X

That Comanche kit builds up very nicely, and the way you've done it is even nicer.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit
