This old shelf queen has been ruling over the Shelf of Doom for way to long.  Time to get it back out and finished up.   Of course, I can't decide on the mission for it, or how to make it work, or a host of other small details   .  Four seater or zero seater, or anything in between  :banghead:  Also, this will either be something for the Tri-Stang to shoot at, or even vice-versa.

Having a heart re-start on Friday, so this may be my last post, and you will all be free!!!  ;D  Or I may come back to torment you some more

If you (Tophe, this includes you) have some thoughts about what this little bird should/could be (including throwing it in the trash), I would be pleased to entertain your ideas.  <_<

Best regards,
Kem

Maybe cover one cockpit and put a heavy gun (50mm minimum) in the nose of the side without cockpit. See Me-262 A-1 /U-4...

dumaniac

yeah - maybe a rear facing big gun to fire a targets as the jet goes past.  Or to fire at fighter chasing the Me 262 4xjumo. A pilot and rear gunners in one fuselage - and a forward gun and radar guy in the other.  Keeps a balance of sorts.

Cardiac Arrhythmia?  My Dad was turned off and on again and he's now busier than he was before it was done.  You'll be fine.

Does this have enough wing?  It looks great whether it does or not.
How about making it a long range torpedo bomber?  Torp (or two) under one fuselage, big drop tank under the other.  Navigator and weapons officer in the fuselage carrying the torps.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Good start!
(And I wish you a good health, this is more important for sure).
I have many Me-262Z (models and drawings) displayed on the Messerschmitt part of my site http://www.kristofmeunier.fr/twin_boom_whatif_1939_45B.htm
Adding your one will be a pleasure!

Thank you for your comments  and good wishes  <_<

63cpe:  That is a good idea and of course I had this exact resin nose conversion and gave it away, sheesh  :banghead:  Don't think it would be too hard to scratchbuild (well, my kind of scratchbuilding, that is).

dumaniac:  Hmmmmm . . . . . that sounds kinda good . . . . maybe a remote turret?

Fred:  I kind of imagine that it doesn't have enough wing (please don't tell Kit).  I gave up trying to figure wing extensions after about 10 seconds  :o  I guess Gee Bees didn't need lots of wing, but this thing probably needs lots of runway.  Torpedoes would be cool, but not sure what/how the landing gear needs to be configured  :-\.

Tophe:  Thank you and also for steering me to your collection, now that is some great and forward thinking there  ;D

Hopefully more soon, need to get the wing finalized and fitting right.
Best regards,
Kem

I vote night fighter or high speed recon.

Night Fighter. Radar in one nose and operator in a coal hole in the same fuselage. Coal hole gives darkened cockpit to see the scopes. Bigger dish than the German "tv antennae" looking radar tube aerials. Cannon in the other nose. Sinister black cammo.

Fast recon. One fuselage for the pilot, the other for recon gear and even a camera operator. I agree that the layout is not the best for a meneuvering fighter, but you have good thrust for high speed recon.

It really does look like something the German's would have done given the time
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Re: the torpedo(es) and the landing gear configuration. Forgive me if I miss any obvious issues, not knowing much about Me-262's or Zwillings especially. But could you not have two lots of nose gear and then use the outermost left and right main gear wells, and then have to torps in between the engines and the fuselage on the inside?

Correction : no need of extra work at all! Like that, it is a pleasant addition to the 262Z family, a piece that was missing in my collection!:
