RAF 500 - The Red Arrows

In the year of the RAFs 500th anniversary the Red Arrows put on a large number of performances, showing of their new X-Wing F Mk-2 aircraft.

I'm intrigued that you view Incom-FreiTek as a US company.
I'd never really thought about it before but if asked I probably would have said that the Empire represented the US and the rebels were, well everyone else.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I've know they were an American company for a long time... but what always amazed me was they they were able to parlay their early success in interactive fiction into the design and production of multi-role interstellar space fighters. From Zork to X-Wings... man... that must've been some ride...
Thanks!

Incom-FreiTek is thought to have been established in a facility  straddling the Washington / British Columbia border in 2193. After the growth of the Empire, its operations were  dispersed.  The original shareholders were Rolls Royce Exo-atmospheric Engines Division, Bombardier, Westpac of Australia, BMW's Ford subsidiary, Boeing Seattle and the "Sandringham/Balmoral Investment Trust". There was much speculation concerning the last named investor, with rumours circulation that it was a family company owned by a senior Commonwealth figure.

In the deleted scenes of ANH where Luke talks with his pal Biggs while still back on Tatooine it is mentioned how the Empire has started collectivization of all farms ("what will your uncle do when they come for him?"). Hardly something that the US would do ;)

That said, Lucas has admitted that the Emperor was originally modelled after Nixon. The prequels added heavy influence from Caesar though.

Nice! But shouldn't there be a tea kettle in the droid's place...?  :o

I had assumed that the boiling vessel  (as installed in real world British tanks to this day) is internal.  But you are of course perfectly correct in assuming that a British device of any kind includes some sort of tea dispenser...Nato standard, milk and two sugars.
