This idea is based on the 1/72 Airfix HS/BAe Nimrod kit. There are similarities to the MRA.4 but this build is not an accurate interpretation, due to the lack of resources.
The vertical tail fin can be scratched built or if I had kept the resin Cammett BAe Nimrod AEW.3 tail fin I could have used that and reshaped it.
As for the wings, these need to be cut down the seam of the second engine housing so that the wider engine air intake can be added on.
I have experimented with  TF33 engines from the Heller E-3A/C kit and various 1/144 airliners.
You'll notice that you can fit one new cover but the second won't fit on the existing wing, hence cutting and filling in the gap. Depending on the plastic a little heat can help reshape so the new intake looks squared.
A raid in the spares bin should yield the FLIR turret and sensors on the nose. The ESM wing pods will be scratched built. Lumps and bumps added on.

I did contemplate on building the  Kawasaki P1. Using the Hasegawa 1/72 Lockheed Neptune with the wings from the Revell 1/144 Airbus A380 but I haven't figured out how to build it.
