Supermarine Spiteful and Seafang

The AZ Spiteful and Seafang are both copies of the CMR ones and they had problem of their own.  Bob, you're right, the Seafang is the better of the two AZ kits but it's a bit like saying which is better - a punch in the face or a kick in the clems.

TBH, I don't like either of the two AZ kits - the Spiteful fought me every step of the way and I hate the sight of it.  I've started the Seafang but not got much further than assembling the wings

Probably the best Spiteful released in 72 was the old Pegasus one, itself a copy of a Czech resin (which I've yet to find.  The RS Resins Spiteful is a copy of the same Czech kit).  The length was out and the tail surfaces all to cock but if they're sorted out, it looks bang on the money.

Well, no.  My own Blackbeard kit is better, but it takes the best bits of the CMR kits plus the best of the Pegasus 2nd release and combines the two with a bit of jiggery pokery to produce something better:
