I used to buy Flight on the way to school on a Thursday morning and chuckle at Uncle Roger during registration.  And I think it was Fridays on which Scale Aircraft Modelling arrived by post and I'd turn to Tailpiece straight away.

Those two codgers were responsible for the shaping of my teenage 'humour'.

The one thing I remember from "Uncle Roger's" column was this definition :

"An inadvertent airframe ground interfacing with associated structural disoptimisation"  =  Crash

Those two codgers were responsible for the shaping of my teenage 'humour'.

The second of those 'codgers', the Venerable Mike McEvoy, is one of us, Whiffers that is, to this day I'm pleased to say.
