I've solved my initial problem of arming my PZL-42 by robbing my PZL 37A of some bombs (I will show the B with it's bomb bay doors open and the A with them closed) but I'd still like to find some early style WWII bombs. Particularly British, French, Polish etc in 1/72.

Now Kora do some Italian ones and of all things Swiss  :o but they are pricey (as most things Kora are) and some sets seem to be poor value for what you get as well. So does anyone know of some after market early WWII bomb sets in 1/72 ?

From memories of long ago, didn't the Airfix Lancaster, Sterling, Halifax have some included.
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

Yes, Airfix old and new Lancasters both have 100lb bombs I believe and a blockbuster.  The Revell Lanc has some 500lb bombs, with another bolckbuster,.

Eduard do a set of British 500lb and 1000lb bombs:

CMK do a set of British 250lb bombs:

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Thanks lads. I knew the Airfix kits had bombs and the Whitley has some very nice early war ones, I've one in construction at the moment, but most are late war, post 1942'ish.

Mossie. I'd found that Eduard set and they to look late war to me, but I'd missed that CMK set (blame Hannants' search engine) and they do have more of an early war look to them.

The early war bombs tend to look a bit more streamlined to me. The Polish ones included in the IBG kits are exceptionally so.

Had 10 minutes so strike while the iron is hot, as they say.

The British style early war bombs are the 4 painted ones at the bottom of the shot. The very Deco Polish ones are still on the sprue. Hope that helps ?
