I have 3 of these kits in my stash which are going to be used for a variety of whiffs.  With flying reproductions of aircraft like the ME -262 & FW-190 having been produced, I reckoned why not a modern Comet?  The Turbo Comet! Using the original blueprints but modern composites instead of wood (not that you would be able to tell in a model!!), a pair of lightweight turboprops  and wingtip/slipper tanks my idea would retain the essential visible features while being completely modern. Still be a tail dragger!! Got a rough idea of how to go about this. Biggest problem will be the engines but I have a couple of ideas that might work. Definitely decided the colour scheme!!  :smiley:

I can see them fine, but they're PB based and who knows how that's working these days???
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
