...My other idea is to back date it to the '30s - open cockpit and turrets. Fixed u/c and no engine nacels.

Biplane.  Like a Heavy Heyford...

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Lancaster and Stirling interchange tails.

Looks great, thanks

I tried to put twin tail fins on a Airfix Stifling which didn't turn out as well as I hoped. I have an idea for a tailless version.

Hi, I'm too sure if the Stirling was ever fitted with Rolls-Royce Merlins XXs, 22s or 24s,  Merlin  28s or 38s but the whiff I have started building has the  Avro Lancaster  Mk1/3 engines taken from an early Airfix kit , these are grafted on to the Airfix Short Stirling. I'll be using the  S+M Model Stirling conversion set and Lincoln style twin tail fins.  I've blanked off the upper turret. I'm keeping the rear gun turret for my Lincoln build.
