Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

It first flew 46 days after I was born  :o

I was always seriously impressed by the 188 as a kid. Used to draw it in action as the RAF 's new super-dooper fighter. Then I grew up and read all about it  ;)
