When you see things like this you start to realise just what crazy b@$t@^ds those early airmen were. :o

Well I do  ;D and it's off to those guys too.

That's awesome looking aeroplane for sure. I wonder how many design teams they had on that job, and if they ever actually talked to each other?  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

And that my friends is something like what a Heyford seaplane could look like...

It would also form the ideal basis for a "Stop that Pigeon" GB build should that topic succeed in the voting this year.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

But who could possibly have at least 1 3/4 Heyfords in his stash.

That was one of my first thoughts, too! Even though it should then be converted to a monoplane w/o the lower wings?

zenrat

Wingnut also do the Gotha G1 landline version.

Love the box art. Just wondering what the pilot of that DH 2 is thinking ?

All you need to do is extend the fuselage down to the lower wing and you have room for passengers - swords into ploughshares ? There was a German WWI prototype design which had a deep fuselage like that as well.

As he's about to have an Eindecker on his tail he's probably thinking 'I'm outa here!'  :o

Or "The Lord's Prayer", in the hope that he'll live to get to the "Amen", because I seem to recall that the Eindecker seriously out-classed the De Havilland pushers in aerial combat.

Outclassed all of it's opponents for a while, whence the "Fokker Scourge", although the DH 2 had some success if a couple of pilots could work together. 2 seat FB 5's used to fly in a defensive circle if attacked by Eindeckers.
