It's beautiful!!! A combination I never would have thought of, but in retrospect seems obvious & works quite well. It sounds greedy, and may be, but I'm glad your original plan didn't work out.

The upper surfaces of most airliners are pretty complicated places, both mechanically and colour-wise too. Sykotik's done the VC10 superbly in that area.

Very nice. Such a beautiful bird, and for sure, she looks so good in that scheme. That would be an excellent addition to any shelf.

True stuff!!! I counted up the individual colors I needed to merely paint the wings on a boeing and it was 4 or 5 I think....and yet the livery and fuselage might only be 3 or 4 colors. I never imagined back in the day before I studied up on it that the wings were so... uhh... "complicated" or whatever. Sometimes it amounts to a lot of masking and dragging out paints from all corners of the planet.

I keep looking at it and that tail is bugging the hell out of me now that I see it. I still have another set of tail decals on hand so I may just yet strip it back and repaint it
