The Wooksta!

"The letter, yeah. With pleasure."

Two photos from tonight's club meet featuring my latest two: Avro Lancaster B.VI "Special" and an Avro Shackleton AEW.3.  The latter has yet to get it's aerials and the prop blade tip decals, but in my defence I've had sod all energy when I've got in from work.

Lancaster B.VI

Shackleton AEW.3

I have a real dislike for the Shackleton as it fought me every step of the way during decalling and the Lancaster...  It *still* isn't really talking to me.  I'm not happy with the finish and TBH, it's a bit rushed.  I just wanted it done and out of the way.  Martin is getting both for the Reserve collection.

Both looking pretty smart, and equally subtle, as is your style Lee.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

The Lanc looks good.

The Shack may, technically, have been the better aircraft but the Lanc is still my favourite bomber (with the Mosquito being a very close second & the Mitchell B-26 Marauder being just behind that).

Really like what you've done with your Lanc. Excellent!

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Concur. Particularly like the scheme
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Indeed. Very good. But may I like the Shackleton too?
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

My opinion is MY opinion, I don't feel the need to force others to share it. ;)

I like the Shackleton too!  An elderly Belgian pilot once told me that the Shackleton is the most beautiful aircraft in the world to have alongside you.....when your DC7 has lost one engine and another is starting to run rough 100 miles from Prestwick.

Are losing theirs and blaming it on you....."
It  means that you read  the instruction sheet

A fairly regular occurrence from what I read about DC7s.
