Hi all,
This is the New Zealand-exclusive Flying Kiwis rebox of the Italeri A-4E/F kit, which came with low-viz markings decals as work by our Skyhawks from the mid-1990s until retirement, with some surgery and extra bits by me to replicate 05 as she was on the day of the Air Combat Force disbandment, December 13 2001. I've seen photos and heard stories of her display at Sqn Ldr Jason "Easty" Easthope's hands that day so I thought it'd be the best subject. I'd already been saving reference material for a while when a friend and fellow member of the WONZ forum asked if I'd like this kit as he wasn't going to do anything with it.

Phil Treweek's Kiwi Aircraft Images website and the book Skyhawks by Don Simms and Nick Lee-Frampton were invaluable references for this build.

VERY stealthy, you can only just determine that it IS RNZAF!

Was it 2001 when they snuffed out the Skyhawks? This'll be close to the 'no politics' mark, but that's got to have been the greatest folly of all time!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Many many many Kiwi enthusiasts agree. We seem to have done okay without them. But I miss having them around.

Yes, this build is showing NZ6205 as she was at the disbandment parade on December 13 2001, the day 75Sqn and 14Sqn were disbanded and the A-4s and Aermacchis retired.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
