All very good, but they'd first need to build a network of charging stations across the entire Russian landmass as it'd need re-charging every 100 miles.

i always thought the AN-2 would make a grear COD aircraft for the Soviet Navy, its STOL capabilities make it an ideal carrier aircraft.
just needs folding wings and beefed up landing gear

No.  Just a very long extension lead...

If this didn't exist someone would have to invent it for the out of retirement GB (although the AN2 hasn't retired yet).

I don't think it'll ever qualify for the out if retirement GB, they'll probably end up sticking warp engines on it.
