Paper Kosmonaut

Hi friends. Some time ago I showed you my non whif 1/33 paper model of Douglas bader's Spitfire. I wrote about me working on this 1/96 paper Space Shuttle stack and someone asked for a photo when I finished it. So here it is. It took me just over a year (with intervals and hiatuses). The shuttle has a "photorealistic skin", the External tank is made from heavy card which I thoroughly sanded after constructing the shape, to give it that insulation foam surface look, the boosters are made from semigloss photopaper. Lots of details, I especially like the SSME's and the ET's outer plumbing. This one has to go in a perspex box in y bookcase on eday but the box has to be quite large. 35 x 35 cm as a base and 65 cm high.
The shuttle is a modified model of Raimondo Fortezza, someone created a photorealistic skin for it. The pars are the same as the original model though. The fuel tank's base parts are mainly designed by one Bill Spencer and intensively modified and detailed by yours truly. The SRB's are designed by Alfonso X. Moreno and available from his AXM paper space scale models site.

In the nearby future I hope to contribute some more whifferies again. I have a nice one in mind!
Bye for now, stay safe and healthy!

Strewth, that's amazing!

I've done the 1/72 Monogram full stack kit and it's not as good as your model!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
