A new year so new projects at hand..

First up is this Caudron C.890
Designed as a single seat high speed, long distance, high altitude communications plane during the late 1930-ies it was a variant of the C.860. Instead of a Renault 6 cilinder engine a Walter Sagitta inverted v12 was used. This set up proved to be more powerful and so aircooled inverted V12's (by combining two Renault v6 engines) were used in the Caudron fighters ( C.714 etc.).

Gotha Go 155
Based on the Gotha Go 150 the Go 155 ( or Go 150 V5) was a late 1930-ies rugged twin engined low wing single seater. It was used in 1942-44 for trials to accomodate a Rheinmetall BK 5 to increase accuracy and firepower of tankbuster. The Ju-87 D's equipped with BK37's were rather rudimentary and suffered from poor accuracy but proofed the concept of the flying Tank Buster.

Lockheed B-65
The Lockheed B-65 is a derivate of the cancelled CL-400 project. Basically it's a scale down version of the CL-400 with conventional turbojet engines fitted out as an attack bomber in the same class as the Douglas B-66 and Martin B-57. Crew was a pilot under a "fighter"-type bubble canopy and a Short-range navigation and bombing system (SHORAN). Operator/navigator was seated in the rear compartment.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

As do I and oddly enough it's quite plausable when you see some of the cabins that were added to WWI era aircraft to make them into passenger aircraft post war.

That Gotha is ugly..with a stupidity large gun ...absolutely love it 😀 😍 ❤️
Dave that's brilliant mate 👏 👌

I really do like the lines of the Caudron C.890..that does look very nice ..needs contra props
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Thank you all for the comments.

The Caudron will definetely have a contraprop (a nice small and pointy one as was very common in those days in French aircraft industry). Think i'll do her in French racing blue with silver/auminium prop.

The Gotha still needs some work on the body as both upper halves needs to be tapered in to suit the canopy ( a narrowed version of a BV-141 canopy). The gun will be integrated in the top of the fuselage. Shells are planned to be pushed up in the fuselage.

Meanwhile the B-65's fuselage is puttied (thick layers) and need to be sanded down. I plan to use Bell X-1 wings, A T tail and podded engines (will be made from PVC electrical installation tube and resin turbine and J75 afterburner parts). It'll have a bicycle gear.

Some interesting ideas.   The Gotha driver is most assuredly going to experience a curious ringing sensation in his ears when that piece of ordnance is discharged.

He may put that ringing down to his head impacting the windscreen due to the sudden deceleration...

Lovin the contra props colour ideas mate..a very nice combination 👌

Who ever does get to fly the Gotha is either going to have to be a great pilot or a total nutta 😆
Either way he's in for one hell of interesting flight   ;D
