Chris, the Airfix 1/72 Boeing E-3D kit AWAC has those engines as an option, it also comes with the CF56 engines. (at least mine did)
Cheers Robert,  would they fit in with an  early to mid sixties  aircraft  though?

They would end up like Dave's model Chris --

Indeed it would, and it fits the era. The TF-33/JT3D first flew in 1959 and was flown on a wide array of civilian and military types including the KC-135, B-52, C-141, 707/720, DC-8, E-3, E-8 etc.  Surprisingly to me at least was the wide variety of nacelles, not all had the cut after the bypass fan blades and had a straight nacelle.

It would fit the 1960's era well.

The later CFM engines on some types like the KC-135 (big airliner type fan) were a much later upgrade.

Well, if someone who has built their E-3D with the CF56's, they'd have the TF33's spare --- like I had. Mine got passed on to someone else though ---- The second E-3D I bought is going to get used as a CC-137 Husky which needs the TF33's, so the CF56's were passed on to a friend.

Thankyou for all the very useful  information  everyone,  I really appreciate it.  I think different engines on it is something that could happen  with  my build.

I think the tandem layout is fine.  The B-47 had a walkway along the port side that the pilot and co-pilot could climb down from their seats and get a break, change positions etc. The B-47 conducted very long endurance missions with refueling.

Yup and I never knew that until the first time I saw the Jimmy Stewart film
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Captain Canada

That 4 engined build looks amazing Dave ! A subtle whif, to me anyway. If I hadn't already known what was going on for sure I wouldn't have noticed. Nice !
