Just got a couple of tools for fiddly jobs that may have some modelling applications from Lidl.

Price? a devastating £2 each...

First up, this thing, which combines a helping-hands-type unit with a magnifying glass, a light, and a soldering-iron-stand. The base is cast iron so it's quite stable and the light is good. The exact same thing is currently selling on Ebay for £10:

Secondly, this mini tool kit. It's got a driver, a flexi extension, 30 sub-1/4" hex bits (about 3mm across flats), a pair of tweezers, a magnifying glass and a pair of small snips (save your fancy Duron sprue cutters by using these for metal, wire, etc..), all in a plastic carry box. These sell online for £7-£9.

Couldn't find a pic online of the exact set, but this one is pretty close. The differences are:
1. The Lidl one has a sleeve on the flexi-drive
2. The Lidl one has a bigger magnifying glass ,with a sleeve cover
3. The Lidl driver is a differnt style
4. The Lidl box is slightly different

2 quid for those?
Someone, somewhere is being exploited if that is financially viable.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Or somebody overstocked their warehouse and making space for more profitable stuff became the driving factor.

Has to be the case I would of thought. Materials alone have to be £2 or more, especially in the second lot, and then labour (even if minimal) , shipping etc.

I may well pop into my local Lidl's to see about that mini tool kit. The joke is that if I didn't have my People's Republic of London Pensioner's Pass the train/bus fare would cost me more than the £2
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
