This is my Revell 1/720th scale model of the USS Penn. I don't know how long I've had the kit, but she doesn't 'scrub up' too badly.
The tugs, depot boat and launch are Tamiya, and the water is MDF covered in cardboard waves, covered in tissue and then resined after painting.
The resin gives that translucent look.

Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Wonderful sea... Congratulations, and thanks for sharing your secret discoveries :)
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

Lovely old Battleship in a realistic stting - great work

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Fine job! Waterline ships always look best depicted in their natural element.

Where did you find the biplanes?

JoeP
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

Gary

If I knew enough about ships to make a sensible comment about ships I would. I know that I like what I sea...  get it, like what I SEA

I just wish I knew how to make ships look as nice.
Getting back into modeling

JoeP,
The bi-planes came with the kit, they're probably Seagulls, but if it's mid 30's, they could be Loenings.
