Nah. Do it as an Admirals Barge!

Yes please.  a Twin Pin "green parrot " would be a whiff of the first order.   See Rick Jolly's definition from "JACKSPEAK" as shown in the page extract below.

I can't read a word of what that book exert says it's too small and won't  magnify.  I  looked at the other  one though, nice  idea  for sure, just  not sure how I would portray it on an aircraft.

I will have to have a  look for  pictures of one  with  stub wings on it , cheers

I think the stub wings are the small things sprouting from the bottom of the fuselage.  I googled "Twin Pioneer with ordnance" and found this picture:

Thistle dew, Pig - thistle dew!

Where am I going?  And why am I in a handbasket?

Cheers for that
When it's built and sat on its  wheels,  will  have  to look at  what  size of fuel tanks would fit there as looking at the  picture  they would probably have to be quite small.  I shall  find something suitable I am sure.

My next  pondering is what  colour scheme to daub it in. I  would like to try the dark sea grey over sky as that was in use in the early 1960's wasn't it? Or was it 1950's.
Cheers
Chris

40's, 50's and early 60's. With a relatively high demarcation line, although it's exact placement could depend on period and/or type. Have a look at the Sea Prince's demarcation line (although they had white topsides) for ideas.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Thankyou  Chris, I was thinking  an in service  mid fifties  not long after HMS Eagle  was  brought  in to service  and when the Twin Pin was still quite  new. I will have  a look  at that.

I have  started  to build this thing  now, and hit a couple of  hurdles.  First  is that two pages of the instructions were missing  so couldn't see how rhe cockpit and  cabin floor and  bulkheads  went in  and the page with the  engine  construction  was also missing.  Thankfully I  could email  Valom  and the next morning  I  got an email  showing the missing  pages.  Very pleased with that. The other thing  is that the fuselage halves  are not identical twins  shall we say.  The nose setion and forward  fuselage really  don't want  to meet up  and are a good 1.5 mm out, so I  had to stitch glue it a little bit at a time  with  super glue, then this evening  attack the fuselage with course  emery paper  to get the shape  something similar. I have lost  some  panel lines  but I am not bothered.  I am just glad  I  didn't  super glue myself to it. For a change  ;D

Ah that's good to know Chris. I got a Vallom Firebrand TF 5 at Telford and that is missing the instructions. I shall e-mail them.

I eas pleasantly surprised that they emailed me back  so soon too Chris.  The instructions are a bit vague  to begin with  without  having pages  missing.
