Decisions, Decisions, Decisions...

My plan for this afternoon was to get started on a build for the In The Navy GB...I'd made the decision on a new user for this little gem...

But then the Modeling Muses interfered with my cunning plan...

Sometimes you see a shape in a model and realize it is just SCREAMING out for something...

Well....

I have a few Bandai kits in the stash that would be worthy parts donors...and the rear fuselage opening is almost the perfect size for a TIE cockpit window to serve as the tail gunner's position...like I said...decisions, decisions....
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

The Hawker Starhawk ???????

Go for it!!  Finish it off in Fleet Air Arm colours and wait for JMN's to combust spontaneously at the sight of it.

I wish I'd thought of it myself; there's a cracking good backstory  possible  here.

The thought of Drath Vadar as a pilot in the Fleet Air Arm boggles my mind.
GO FOR IT!

They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

So I did a little more experimenting with layouts for this TIEHawk...It's definitely a project I'll be following up on, and I'll be keeping an eye out for good deals on another Skyhawk, but for now I'm looking forward to jumping into the In the Navy GB so this one will be an Earth-based carrier fighter c.1957.

Here are some of my other musings on the TIE idea though...saved for next time I decide to tackle this one...

I kinda like the look of the TIE 'wings' tuned backwards.  A few extra greeblies tacked on in these shots.  I'll be definitely on the lookout for more spare parts that will fit this build.  It's definitely going on the "To Do" list.

For now back to the semi-Real World.  The Skyhawk will be posted in the Forum.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Maybe in our 2020 year, the subject "Navy of the 2120s years" meets science-fiction, no? ;)
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

When I eventually tackle this one it will belong firmly within the Star Wars universe...I can see it being a ship built from salvaged parts, flown by some dashing, yet slightly unsavory character with a heart of gold during the timeframe of the Mandalorian TV series...

Such a fine line between insanity and genius!

Held together with tape and it already look gorgeous!
