Fact-
From 1972 thru '85, the Spanish Navy operated eight AH-1Gs under the local designation of Z.14.  Four were written off, three were returned to the US and one is somewhere in a Spanish museum.

Fiction-
The Armada loved them, but as they were getting long in the tooth, and wanting twin engine safety as the USMC, the Spaniards went and ordered the latest Corps version, the AH-1T.  The first Ts to arrive were in the same glossy sea blue colors as the previous Gs, but as the machines were upgraded in the mid 90s, an overall grey scheme was adopted......

Gorgeous!  Just something about a Cobra...such a pretty helicopter to me, especially the later ones.  Loos great in that scheme.  Nice job!!   :wub:
