I wanted to complete Alvis' topic with a 'true' (not original) Twin-Buffalo F2A-11, but... using the source http://www.warbirdsresourcegroup.org/NARG/...s/buffalo-2.jpg I have invented something very special: a new kind of asymmetric plane with port landing gears only...
There is another originality: a W wing like the F4U Corsair (or Ju-87 Stuka, Loire-Nieuport LN.40 etc) but different: without central fuselage, nicely original, no?

Well, apart of my smiling hobby way, I understand the Buffalo was a war machine, a victim of mass-slaughtering in the 1941 skies. And the main question for Japanese aces could have been: will this shot-down twin be counted as 2 kills?
