A newly retired French aviation worker made one mistake during a special flight in a Rafale  :o ;D

The investigation must have been eye-opening. I can't imagine anyone got off lightly after that almighty screw-up.

Also in there is the French General who borrowed an Alpha Jet for his weekend getaways - approx £1000 per weekend!

Good thing some parts of the system were not working  :mellow:  ;D The Rafale should be repairable, because of that.

The pilot was probly both pleased that he wasn't ejected and worried because he wasn't ejected...

Its rather an embarrassment.  Nearly as bad as the Alphas which had the smoke for the national colours in the wrong order on the Bastille Day parade a few years back.    :banghead:

As I already expressed on our sister forum, this series of unfortunate events sounds like what what Alfred Yankovic would call Mandatory Fun...
Would be marching to the beat of his own drum, if he didn't detest marching to any drumbeat at all so much.
