Well, guess I've got more time to work on this now: just been furloughed on 80% pay for at least three weeks, possibly longer. I'm an anti-social git so I'm fine sitting at home doing hobbies for a month, but the worry is whether the company will survive the financial hit it takes. Government help is okay for the short term, but the longer-term effects on the aircraft industry....

Okay, well I'm declaring this one dead, at least as far as the GB is concerned. Sorry guys.

I got stuck on some points of research and concept, lost motivation, and then a variety of personal and family situations got in the way. Ironically, I got enthused about it again at the start of last week, and then, within an hour, I got a phone call about a family situation that had me hanging on for the rest of the week, waiting to be called out at short notice.

There's another thing about me that I've realised over the last few years. Some people can do modelling to take their mind off anxiety and worry, but I'm not like that: I'm the opposite. If I'm anxious or distracted, I can't focus on modelling because my thoughts drift off it and onto whatever the problems are. I'm only really able to concentrate on modelling when things are going relatively well. Over the last few months, personal circumstances and world events have occupied my attention whether I want them to or not, and distractions need to be noisy and engaging (like music or video), not quiet ones that allow my thoughts to go their own way.

So the Water Scorpion gets added to the ever-lengthening list of half-finished projects. If I ever get my mojo back one day, I might try to blitz some of them.
