The P8 really wasn't a very aesthetically pleasing design, it looks like it's dragging its butt.
 ;D

Well I think Rover should have stuck with the SD1 saloon,  hatchback and estate,  I'm sure that there must have been a coupe version even if it was a clay model.

The P8 had air suspension, so that pic shows it 'sitting down'. Once the engine started the Boge struts lifted it to the correct ride height, which could be adjusted like a Citroen DS or a later Range Rover.

The SD1 came AFTER the P8 design in time, and they went onto the Rover 800 series later on. The fastback version of the 800 looked very much like an SD1 but without then 'Daytona' nose.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

By then Rover had teamed up with Honda and the 800 series was based on the Legend. I can see the similarities in the third series Legend. Thanks Kit

I was referring to the styling, not the stance.   ;)
