Does anyone have a spare astrodome please? I'd like one to go on my Avro Leeds, but the vacform one in the donating York kit has been crushed flat. :(

Like the one that came with the original Airfix Herk, but it's not that vital how large it is.

I will have a look through my clear bit's box when I get home from work for you Kit.

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

Likewise, I'll have a look when I get a chance, later today.

What's the diameter you need? I've done a few dome-shaped windows by rounding off the end of a plexiglass rod.

5-7 mm dia. would be the optimum I reckon.

A good idea Harro, I may try that if the ForumNet doesn't come up with a solution, thanks.

The Wooksta!

You could try crash forming one with some shaped rod/dowel with a clear yogurt pot lid.

I'll have a rummage through my clear parts spares boxes Kit
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Found a nice dome that's about 8mm in diameter. It's actually an XF5U-1 clear nose cone. ;D

Hell's Bells, I never thought of that! And I BUILT one only a few months ago!  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I think that'd work a treat H, thanks so much. Anything I can trade in return, to be delivered in the medium term as I'm still marooned in Northants.

And thanks very much for everyone else who're looking for me.

Nah, it cost me nothing and postage will be cheap. DM me what address I'm sending it to.
