ive started on my first model for this new year.

currently this is only a 1/144 scale prototype, the full version will be 1/72 scale, im just using it as a test bed.

the Supermarine Sprite is an early 1930's design, which eventually became the Spitfire. it features the spitfire's fuselage but has a different engine and a parasol wing with a 10° sweep (which i based off of the Savoia S.21 from Porco Rosso).

WIP pictures will be posted tomorrow

Interesting!
While 1/144 is very small for a Spitfire-like plane, the canopy will be tiny.
What kit did you use as basis? Eduard? Minicraft? Revell? Mark1? (this one being "2 in 1", what-if there was a Twin-Sprite?) ;)

Should look good

Canopy may be tiny, but what about the size of the struts to hold the wing on, not something I'd like to attempt in 144  :o

Nor me. You could use pins I suppose, which would give you rigidity as well ?

Good! Go on!
Uh, for the undercarriage, will it be from the fuselage instead of the wing (too high)?

ok, some progress, on the 1/72 version, im gonna use a retractable landinggear like the Focke Wulf Fw.159, but for the 1/144 version, im usng a spatted fixed landinggear salvaged from a scrapped Ju87.
