This is mostly a RW build done as part of my clubs Biplane challenge. The first challenge for me was to find a biplane in my stash

and then I had to build it

It's from the KP kit first released in 1971. The surface details are nicely and crisp, the Czech instruction diagrams were clear enough with a separate translation sheet in English. The wing struts are awkward and it takes a lot of time to get them lined up.

The decals were, as you might expect, pretty poor and hadn't done well over the last 40 years. Chris kindly sent me a few Slovak markings from an Eduard kit and they went on very nicely with a dab of MicroSol.

I sprayed Tamiya USAAF Olive Drab overall - it should be Khaki but who would know?
The rest was brush work - Xtracolor RAF Barley Grey underneath, PRU Blue for the pilot, Gloss Black, Tamiya Schwarzgrau for the tires and gun barrels.

Are the image sizes OK? I can't work out how to make them smaller. PB isn't playing ball - I need a new free host site before Xmas.

They're about twice as big as the page on my laptop Nick.

The trick is to apply the (img) business to the link and add size=800 or something right after the 'img'.

( brackets used instead of [ brackets as the poor forum gets confused otherwise.

I've messed about with the editing in PB and the size should be better now. Lower quality images though.

Very nice. I like the markings. Got one myself so glad to see what it looks like. I'm thinking Greece 1940.
