The Wooksta!

More legacy shenanigans.

Many years ago, 1993 perhaps, I read German Jet Genesis, and despite the fact that the drawings were next best to useless, one caught my eye and looked easy enough to scratchbodge.
There was a Focke Wulf proposal to fit a jet engine of their own design to the Fw 190, with an annular exhaust.  The design didn't get further than the drawing board and the designer, Otto Pabst, moved to designing ramjets.
I had a spare old tool Hasegawa Fw 190A-5 and used a modified Sea Fury cowling with a prop and a few other bits as the engine.  It got a coat of grey paint. Several years later, I revisited the concept, using the same base kit but I added the back end of a Frog/Revell Ta 152 from the front of the parallel box section.  A coat of RLM 02 and decals for the 190V-18 from the Aoshima Ta 152H-0.  After that, it got abandoned.  I discovered it lurking a few weeks back and had an Aha! moment.

After some dusting.

That looks better, and certainly a lot more colourful.  Bit more to do before I can get some varnish on.

CF+OY was the radio call sign for the Fw 190 V-18.

I suppose it's some sort of jet plane. But where is the exhaust? I don't see any link to a previous build topic.
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

It's an annular exhaust, the few drawings are very vague.

And there wouldn't be a link to a previous topic, as it has never been posted.

Need to add the Air Min number, and possibly some thinned grey paint over the former radio codes, and then I can get some varnish on.  Still need to find a few detail parts but it's not far from being done.
