Chris and I are thinking of going along as there will be no Huddersfield show this year.

I should be able to do this one. Im on my rest days that weekend.

Quick update.

It does look a very small show from the blurb and location but I may be popping along for an hour or so in the morning before going to see Palace in the Cup in the afternoon. They are playing Hartlepool and for various reasons a few of us are going.

So what I'm saying in a long winded way is not to rely on me for company. Apologies

Chris
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I too might just pop in there in the morning and then go on somewhere else in the afternoon. Maybe go for a walk and a pub lunch.

In that case I'll hold off. As do able as it is. Its a fair treck from my neck of the woods to Surrey.

It's looking unlikely that I'll actually get there lads, shame but can't be helped I'm afraid

I dropped in on this show for an hour. Not much to see in the small hall. There were 4 traders and 6 clubs, mostly armour and vehicles for a change.

Thanks for scouting it out Nick. Nice part of the world Banstead.

I had rather a "wet" day  and Palace won I seem to remember  ;)

I dropping in for an hour in the afternoon with two son's in tow, which I was surprised about as they haven't showed much interest in the hobby for a few years (other than Warhammer and a bit of military modelling from the eldest). Tombola was profitable, spent a six quid and came away with a dozen prizes, including a bottle of Irish whisky won by my 14 year old! He did enjoy it on the drive home  ;)

Agree it was mostly military modelling with all but one of the traders supporting armour, although its not a bad thing to see other aspects of modelling for crossover of techniques. On the whole as it was only 30 minutes from home it was a worthwhile trip, which I'd like to do again next year.

Oh for goodness sake!  :banghead:
The guy in front of me at the Tombola walked away with 2 1/35 Tiger tanks and a ship kit, the guy after me got an Airfix Gnat and you get that lot. All I got was bunch of nothing!
