This time travel is strange...

When i came to school this morning, i found a book about myths and conspiration theories, and opening the book, first thing i saw was  the "philedelphia experiment"!

In 1943, the US navy was attempting to make the destroyer, USS Eldridge, invisible to radar. Testing began in the summer of 1943, and was succesful to a slight degree. One test rendered the eldridge almost completely invisible, and eyewitnesses reported a greenish-blue fog around the ship. However, crew members complained of serious nausea afterwards. At that point, the experiment was altered at the request of the navy, with the new goal being invisible to radar only.Equipment was not recalibrated, and the experiment was performed again on October 28. This time, Eldridge not only became almost entirely invisible to the naked eye, but vanished from the area in a flash of blue light. Concurrent with this phenomenon, the US naval base at Norfolk, Virginia, just over 600 km (375 miles) away, reported sighting the Eldridge offshore for several minutes, whereupon the Eldridge vanished again and reappeared in Philadelphia, at the site it had originally occupied: a supposed case of accidental teleportation.

The canopies black painting is done , but a tape disaster made the result very bad, and a lot of corrections remains...

Wow Tophe that model looks great! With just a little touch-up painting you can correct the blemishes where the paint bled through the tape.

It's a treat to see another one of your wonderful builds!

Here is the Fw 189ABA Waterloo, finished...
The runway is made of wood, of course, to match the seriousness of this build (and there is no risk of fire for such a glider - without flame exhaust at all).

Yowsa Tophe that's one of the most imaginative builds I've seen in a while! I just love the six wings....it really catches the eye! Your choice of color is superb as it really sets off the build and is a nice contrast to the dark canopies. I'd really like to see more shots of this beauty!

Thanks a lot for your nice words ^_^ , but... more pictures would show how much imperfect this model is ...
- the dihedral is not exactly the same for the different wings (direction: anywhere)
- the front part is raising (to ease landing?)

Take heart, Tophe! None of our builds are perfect. There are flaws in every one of mine. You tackled an incredibly difficult project and even with the small errors, I still think it is a thing of great beauty! I hope it occupies a deserving place of honor in your display area.

P.S. I don't know if you noticed, but those dihedrals, etc. being a bit "off" only seem to add to the What-If nature of this cool model.
