Are there any thoughts on the Bolton Show next year ? 21st January, is the SIG thinking of attending ?

Have they confirmed thats is on yet?

If the host club seeks bookings I will try and get us in as usual.
I always hope for the best.

No idea if it's confirmed Martin. I saw the date on Google, but now it's not on the IPMS site.

I've been reading the IPMS magazine (issue 4 2021) and the report on the AGM. On page 19 it says that Rob Monfea informed the IPMS committee that the 2022 Bolton show will not go ahead.

As there is nothing online saying otherwise, so we must take it that the Bolton Show 2022 is officially off.

Yup saw that as well. Shame, but such is life at the moment

Geoff B did some digging for us as its his local show. Yep its a no go for 2022. Due apprently to the venue wanting another 4 grand to clean/sanitize the hall afterwards. Which makes it unviable for the host club.

I think that makes it unviable for most people/institutions. Totally understandable why they are not going ahead with it.

How does the venue know they're going to have to do that afterwards, when a whole year away?

Me, cynical? You BET I am.
