So apparently the folks at Hush-Kit and some real aircraft design insiders got together and made a whiff for the USAF. It's that F-16 replacement they've been talking about. It looks like a cross between the F-16, F22 and F-16XL. Pretty nifty!

Me, I'm dishonest, and you can always trust a dishonest man to be dishonest.
Honestly, it's the honest ones you have to watch out for!!!

That's just a repop of the f-16xl cracked arrow

My thoughts too, but you can see where they're heading.

I like the quote '"The F-35 is a Ferrari, the F-22 a Bugatti Chiron—the United States Air Force needs a Nissan 300ZX".  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

There are seriously times I think the Air Force needs a Chevy Nova more than a 300ZX.

Personally I hate Nissans with a passion, though it's more to do with their customer service and the fact that their cars are expensive and complicated to fix. Their cars are nice to drive though. The air force needs what I got....a Subaru Outback.

Anyway it looks like fairly easy shape to build up (says the guy who hasn't scratchbuilt before).

It's called the A-10. Which is why the Fighter Mafia keep trying to get rid of it.

The myth that wouldn't die.

Fan-bois always come back to the F-16XL or the YF-23 when they start fantasizing about
"new" fighters.
Predictable and rather pathetic.

The concept, but certainly not the illustration, are much like the "Flying Car for Everyone!" that we see on the cover of Popular Mechanics every year. Or twice a year. I've lost track.

Well in all fairness, people do need a better way of getting to the airport to board their supersonic business jets...
