Got up this morning and started this old 1/72 MPC (Airfix) B-25.  I have a busy week ahead, but I'll try to get the time to do this.

So far, I have the interior assembled, and painted. Wings and tail surfaces assembled. Doing the final details on the interior this evening to have it ready to fully assemble tomorrow.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Well, it didn't work out. Family commitments took most of my time. I'll try to get the model finished over the next couple weeks.

Does anyone else have bizarrely specific memories of building a kit?  I do for this one, obviously because the news event imprinted on me. I was lying in our living room floor building this very kit, and painting it very poorly in Testors blue enamel ( I liked blue planes) when the breaking news came on TV that Air Florida 90 had crashed on takeoff in Washington DC.  Which would have made it January 13 1982.  We were put of school because of snow and mum had taken me for a haircut that morning and then I bought the model in a big variety  shop in town that carried models. I only had enough pocket money for the kit and one bottle of paint.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Yep, don't know exactly how old I was, just that I was young, I was given a bagged kit (manufacturer I don't remember) of a Brewster Buffalo that had Felix the cat holding a bomb on it's side, usual youngster build with too much glue and no paint and I only put the Felix decals on it, on the wings where the roundels usually go. Don't remember what happened to the model but I don't think it lasted very long, the cardboard part that was stapled to the bag with the picture on it I had for many year's though.  <_<

Would you like it moved over to the regular build threads Ed ?

Thanks. That would be fine.
