Remembering my childhood in '70s, I found these figures from one of the nicest Tamiya early figures boxes. A pleasure to build and paint. Only one problem: they are clearly undersized; they look to be 1/38 or even 1/40.

You can see the legs posture of one soldier has been changer in order to look seated.

An Airfix 1/76 Tiger will be scaleoramed to become a small tractor: very useful for paratroops to carry light to medium loads.

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .

Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

I'm liking the way you think, and may have to "Imitate-in-the-Sincerest-Form-of-Flattery" something similar.
It's not as if I don't have plenty of wrecks I can repurpose... :-\

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Interesting idea.

As I said, elsewhere, Tamiya's figures are generally in scale but are worked on about a 175cm (5' 9") (+/- 5cm (2")) height, most modern makers are in the 185-190cm-ish (6' 1"- 6' 3") height range.

Oh the size comparisons are all over the place.
Ive got tons of figures..mostly in bits for custom stuff..you can hardly ever find the exactly right figure for most builds ..juat like this one.
The Tamiya British infantry on patrol set is very nice but the figures all seem to be very tall and skinny but when you stuff them beside some Dargon fugures they are about right.
When it comes to tanks tho i need shorter guys because in the real world tankers are normally shorter anyway.
Ive been in quite a few tanks over the yrs and its tight in there..im 6'2 and i can bearly move in a Sherman or a Cent for that matter.
Some makers figures were quite short in the earlier days..those are sweet for tanks.

Have you seen Nicholas Moran getting into & out of the various (numerous) tanks he's "reviewed"?

He's 6' 5" & he was/is a tanker! :o

Guy hes my all time fav Irishman he is ,, and yes he was a tanker and have you seen his Youtube channel and if you have at the end of his vids hes got like a blooper part and man you can see just how trouble he has getting into the drivers seats and gunners postions ..as a commander getting in and out is dead easy ,,no sliding down in front of the commanders seat to get to yours and hell the drivers clime into there seats thru their own hatches ,,some tanks the driver can access their seats from inside as well..hell i think most tanks can ..i dont remember now .
The last one of his vids i watched was that Lockheed Twister and god you should have seen the trouble  he had getting into the drivers position...it was hell funny
His vid on the M74 Sherman easy 8 ARV was good ,,i would love a model of that ,,he did another one on the ARV version of the M102 heavy tank ..cant remember what hats called but i want one of them too  ;D

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

They must have folded him double to get him on board!  :o

Years and years ago, a group of us went to Holland.  Sitting in the ferry bar, we got chatting to an  ex submariner about 5 feet 6 inches tall) who'd served on HMS Spartan.  He complained that whoever had fitted light switches in the sonar area must have been at least six foot two. At this point one of my friends, Keith, stood up to his full six foot seven and said " I'm a shipyard electrician for Vickers at Barrow.........I fitted them!"

I might only be 6'2 but i dont know how many times i wished i was slightly shorter..working on alot of the vehicles i work on god there is so little room its not funny.
Changing a cam belt on a 03 Mitsubishi dismante XI you need arms that are only 1'in thick..its my own car so i removed the engine mounts  ;D
I know one thing for sure..i cant stand up in every tank ive ever been in unless ive stood in the commanders hatch or the loaders.
