Aren't the wheels mounted a bit too far back?  :o

Love the overall look, though, and the cockpit arrangement.

BACK ?  :o Wheels hubs are nearly at the wing leading edge. The attachment points for the spats are where the retractabke u/c was, and the spats point forward. I think the wheels are  mounted  more forward than the original solution.
I too like a lot the rear position of the cockpit. I think it should a natural for a thirties plane.
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

I managed to complete this build !

The Vickers Wannabe.
Built to the infamous Specification G 13/30 for a general purpose monoplane monoplace for reconnaissance/dive bombing/communications/colonial warfare/light torpedo bombing, it didn't excel in any of those roles, but opened the way for the Wellesley.
Only 52 aircraft were built, before production was switched to the  Wellesley, a direct development  that featured the new fashion:  a retractable undercarriage.
The flight characteristics of both  planes were very similar, and a  high-profile demonstration of their capabilities was conducted during early November 1938: Five aircraft  (two Wannabe and 3 Wellesley) were modified for long-range work with the RAF Long-Range Development Flight with  the fitting of Pegasus XXII engines and extra fuel tanks. The aircraft flew non-stop from Ismailia, Egypt in direction of Darwin, Australia, a distance of 7,162 miles (11,526 km). The 3 Wellesley and one Wannabe did set a world distance record in the process. But this particular Wannabe had to land in Basrah for a acute dysentery attack of the pilot.
The aircraft was left abandoned at the RAF base for a long time, till in 1941 the putsch by Raschid Ali and the ensuing siege of Habbaniya forced the british command to utilise every available aircraft in the region.
After a quick overhaul, the Wannabe was used for recce all over Iraq, to check movements of the Iraqi forces. At the successful conclusion of the campaign, the aircraft, completely outdated by now, was again forgotten and left to rot.

Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

That's WONDERFUL!

I wonder if my Dad came across the Wannabe as he was at Habbaniya during the siege.  ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Nice!

I can see it in civvy colours as a mailplane - similar to the Northrop Gamma, Boeing Monomail, etc.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

That is one winner of a conversion. Well done!
