Now you'll see how mines different ..its all started when i was looking thru a earthmovers trader mag .. and Europe they have triple armed versions of excavators which they call triple booms and i wanted that so the building begun .

And yes that was fun and not fun at the same time
Then i thought "Hmmmmm a blade " and away we go .... i looked at some mechines of different sizes to see how the blades were mounted and i came up with the best work around because it seems that one wasnt made to fit this machine or i couldnt find any pics with one mounted to the model digger and this is the result..

The eagle eyed amongst you will notice the the white plastic near the tracks..i widened the track base as it was to narrow for a set up like this.
Then i got to work on the dipper arm and bucket..i didnt want to rock bucket so i made what we  call a weed bucket instead.

Nice scratching on the arm.

Can't help thinking that with the widened chassis the tracks look a bit on the narrow side in the last photo.  Particularly given the extra section of arm and bigger counter weight would be upping the ground pressure.  Only in that one pic though.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Thanks you very much guys 😁..this one is kinda cool..just wish i could replace the tracks as im not a huge fan of rubber excavator tracks..they might look like steel but they dont hang like steel...Zenrat mate now ive looked yeah i see what ya mean..they do look narrow but its just the angle of the pic is all .
Ive worked on and operated earthmovers over the yrs and heres where i can make an excuse 😊
Excavators with metal tracks can get them in different weights and widths depending on the application its being used for..ive worked on 200ton back hoes with tracks only 1200.mm wide..cause its used in rock quarries.ground pressures are not a real issue there 😁 .
Yep im using that

When I worked in construction  lot of what we were digging in had once been wetlands.  All our dozers were swampys with the extra wide grousers.
But yeah, your point works.

Yeah very aware of thr swampies..ive had to replace a couple of sets of those..well not replace..put on 😊..we had a D8T Cat which had standard chains on it and the pads were totally buggered.so everything gor swapped..had to remove the final drive and wheel assemblies to mount extensions for 1800mm swampy pads..that was a fun job mate .

We had D6Rs.  At one time we were stirring sludge drying pans at the poo farm with them.  We'd seal all the panels below the engine doors with silicone mastic and drive them in.  Any major work or at the end of the season we would have to strip all the silicone off with paint scrapers, razor blades, and Stanley knives.  That was fun.

Damn Fred talk about a crappy situation to be in ..pun intended 😆.
I'd be happy to operate that machine..maybe alittle hesitant to work on it tho..least when it came to cleaning alot of the machines we dealt with it was only mud and that sort of thing and we had a damn powerful water blaster to work with .that made life very easy.
Ive transported many different machine and if i remember right the biggest i ever moved was a komatsu d475 which was brand new and i still remember one of the coolest was a 1958 D9 ..i cant remember the model tho but hell that was a fun haul..didnt work so had to winch it on the trailer 😊

Big purpose built washbays with high pressure hoses work wonders.

Yeah i bet it works wonders..not so lucky here..trailer mounted blaster powered by a cummins diesel with i thonk 60 ft of hose...if cranked up that bugger would rip paint off a car...as one guy found out  :o ;D
