Well, another change of plans. Going through my decal stash looking for something else, I happened upon a sheet which will grace the kit - the Marineflieger markings from the Airfix A.W. Sea Hawk. Now to whip up a short back story, and get cracking on the painting. I had already applied a green-grey camo typical of the RAF, but it's now going to be sea grey over sky. Cracked open a tin of Humbrol HB5 that I've had since the 1970s, and after a few minutes of vigorous stirring it was ready for application. Probably won't bother with any more in-progress pictures, you've already seen what the aircraft looks like.

Here ya goes! It was quickly brushed with the first coat before I decided on the different scheme, so it looks pretty rough. Masking is still on the rear half of the canopy.

Hokayyyy... Gradually redoing the paint, stand has been done as a German Flag. Still need to repaint canopy framing, dithering whether to curve the underside colour up onto the fin ala the Sea Hawk, but with the horizontal stabilisers in the way i probably won't, too finnicky.
