This is a nice whif. The Horten Bros did make a large flying wing for the Peron Government, the I.Ae.38

I have always wondered about the large size of the nose wheel as well.  Perhaps a large wheel was thought to be less prone to "tripping" especially on unpaved surfaces?  Useful with such a close-coupled arrangement.

According to one of Dan Sharp's Luftwaffe project "bookazines", they designed one for the RAF too whilst they were in captivity.  Probably the same one, as it was originally designed as a transport for the Luftwaffe - the I.A.e38 was two thirds the size of the one they intended for the Luftwaffe
