Another Real World build completed.  Airfix 1/48 Lightning F.6.  Went with the 80s 5 Sqn scheme of Dark Sea Grey over Barley Grey and Sqn markings courtesy of Xtradecal.

I've had this in my stash for an eternity and glad I finally got around to it.  I can see how many considered it Airfix's best effort until some of the near-Tamiya kits they are producing today.

Two more in the stash and I think one will see some mods inspired by Tony Wilson's "Lightning Genesis & Projects" book.  Maybe a USAF ground attack version in Vietnam...hmmm...

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I thought I commented on this last night? :-\

Oh, well, I was tired. ;)

Very, very nice! Almost looks like a naval scheme.

Does look good in that scheme
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I'm a fan of the dark greys scheme, nice job.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
