Hi everyone!
As a fan of 'The Mandalorian' I was a little bit disappointed when Mando gets only a one-seated sportscar as replacement for the 'Razor Crest' in 'Book of Boba Fett' Episode 5... as cool-looking and fast as it may be, I liked his space truck better. So here's another space truck for Din Djarin, 100% from scratch, work in progress  :)

Looks like an airship control car..............

Much as I love his little Naboo Hot Rod, it's really not a practical vehicle for his line of work.  Love the idea of a new "space truck" for hauling around all those bounties frozen in carbonite.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Looking forward to this! Make it big enough to park the Naboo in the back for possible scouting missions.

Hi everyone, back with some progress. I've assembled the basic structure, glue is still drying. I'm drawing with a pencil on thin packaging cardboard, improvising as I go - no planning. The parts are held together with plug-connections and then glued, for which somewhat precise cutting is required... I use a clockmaker's magnifying glass to help that, I'm holding it near the parts and looking from a distance - same optical effect, but without the strain on the eyes.
These were all parts before connecting:

The big cutouts on the sides are there, so I can later work on the interior, they won't be glued shut

...the forward section is separated from the back via a openable sliding door (operated by the extension on the side) and the upper deck can be accessed by a little hatch (also moving :) I even managed to stuff a little window in the door, out of transparent plastic packaging

I have a basic direction where this model is going, but I have nothing planned out. It's far less stress that way and this is therapeutic for me first and foremost after all.
As for a story I'd say Mando gets into smuggling  :)

thanks Kerick, that's actually an inspiring Idea. The space in the back is way too small to accomodate his N1, but it could very well be docked on the roof, cockpit accessible from below  :)

;D well too late I guess. I've already decided that he'll be smuggling instead  :)

Yeah, didn't think about that when drawing, though. The fuselage is to be protruding further forward and as there are two decks, the look will be more reminiscent of the Razor Crest when finished. But that would be a nice idea for a 'space bus' look  :)

Then he'd have to build a 1/87 scale Golden Gate Bridge for it to crash into!  :o

Or just a section of San Fran Bay for a figure to be thrown overboard into.
