Do I read this correctly?    This gentleman  has   SHORTENED  the wings of an aeroplane?  This seems to be rather out of character.

DAMN! missed that one. However the thought of a Bearcat with looooooong wings is just a little bit interesting. It is also just a bit obscene as well.

Alle kunst ist umsunst wenn ein engel auf das zundloch brunzt!!

Sic biscuitus disintegratum!

Cats are not real.
They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

Any aircraft can be improved by giving it a SHARKMOUTH!

Hehehe, yes it's true, but as JayBee said I only modelled an RW aeroplane that had originally been shortened. Naturally I have the bits 'in stock' somewhere, you never know when you might need the odd spare wingtip!

I dragged it out of the repair hangar to take the piccie below, posed so you can't see the missing wheel.  ;D

I might point out that there are no normal decals on the model, the markings are either masked and hand painted, or painted decal sheet, and in the case of the 'Smirnoff' title I hand painted them! It took me four goes before I was satisfied. I must have been mad. :banghead:

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

Just wondering if anyone knows if the Bearcat ever tested or used operationally the Tiny Tim rocket?  I know the Hellcat and Corsair among others did.

I'm also wondering how the Bearcat would lokk with the bigger wings from a Hellcat?

Nice whifs that everyone has done as well.  Really digging the retro turtle deck version and the reengined Korea era British one as well!

Possibly only trials:
QuotePhotographs also show Bearcats carrying two big 29.2 centimeter (11.5 inch) "Tiny Tim" unguided rockets in trials.
