I'm looking for 1/72 P-38 decals, mainly interested in the US National insignia. I live in the US Chicago area. A whole decal sheet is a little expensive for one small project.

What period/style of National markings ?

I've got some (I think) and postage from the UK isn't much

I've got some too from a Hobbyboss 1/72 P-38L, if Chris doesn't have what you're looking for.

Mine are from a DP Casper "Campaigns" set and are for a P-38F or G circa 1943. White stars in plain blue circle. If you want one of the two aircraft's individual markings then you are welcome.

P.38G "Miss Virginia" of 339 FS or P.38F "The Flying Dutchman" of 39 FS, inc's "sharks mouths" for the cowlings

Late WW2 is what I'm thinking of. Sorry I should have mentioned that. All of your offers look interesting. The national insignia is the main thing. The small insignia from the P-38 tail boom will fit better on the Apache tail boom on the retro whopper chopper. All my WW2 decals fell apart when I tried to use them.

So i guess these will do, won't they, Ken?

I won't be using them on the P-38 cause i wanna build it as a whif Portuguese bird. Portugal only had one P-38F that was interned during WWII, so i know it's going to confuse and annoy some Portuguese JMNs...

Sounds like a plan all around! I'll be watching for a PAF Lightning! I'll pm my address and let me know what the postage will be.
