I always remember an episode of "New Tricks" when they are investigating a disappearance/murder when they go looking for the body only to mention that it occurred a few days before the big storm in 1986, when a herd of pigs escaped from a local piggery.  They ate the body, wholeus-boleus leaving no trace for Forensics.  It was a tremendous event in their minds...
