I'll have to check if these locomotives pulled freight.

They did, AFAIK they were intended for mixed service, despite their classic passenger train layout.

While it's mentioned that hey were designed as mixed traffic locos in every reference to the West Countrys and Battle of Britains, I've yet to find a pic of any of the spamcans hauling freight. :(

Somewhere I've got two quite large books on the classes, and I'll have a look in them,  when I've found them, that is.....
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I've started the Dapol kit, the coal tender is almost finished although I did have some problems aligning it. The body of the locomotive went together extremely well. Definitely buying another one.
Just got to find the paint.

McColm

The Airfix kit has a few parts missing and a few sink holes, whereas the Dapol C085: B-o-B Fighter Pilot has gone together reasonably well. Both locomotives and their coal tenders have been built but need painting before I add the detailed parts.

I may have the missing parts from your BoB kit as I didn't use all of them for my Bullied Baltic tank.

Which parts are they?

It's okay Kit they aren't seen and hidden by the wheels.

Some photos of the builds so far,  The Airfix kit is the green plastic one,  not painted yet.

McColm

I have started painting both locomotives,  one will be red and the other in Pullman colours.

The most bizarre mistel you ever did see.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

NARSES2

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
