I took my mum to Hamilton last week..so thats me driving from Thames to Mt Albert in Auckland..from Ak to hammy and then back again and then home ..including the other dicking around driving ..563 Kms on less than 3/4 of a tank..no bad for a 3.5 ltr Mitsubishi Diamante

Nope, ModelX was a Hobby Expo held in Waitakere for a good few years.
It disappeared in 2018, never heard as to why.

Though there is still one in Taupo.

Ahhh model x ..yeah thats the one that was in the Herderson town hall ..never knew what it was called i do know what whenever it was on i was to busy to go and it was quite aways from me ..i would say lack of interest or they charged to much to get in or both.
Mondeos are a pretty good car as for In Car Entertainment..mines not stupidly powerful..i replaced all the factory stuff with crap ten times better and many times more powerful .it can crank it but it dont need to be loud to sound good

Yeah, Nah - I'm too cheap to aftermarket my sound systems these days - and after all the stuff I cranked up all those years ago, I can't tell the difference anyway, nowadays.

I've only ever heard 2nd or 3rd hand rumours/speculation about why Modelx folded - to my knowledge, no one ever got a definitive, or even any answer, despite all the questions.
Sad it's no more, but it is what it is.

Least ya heard something..ive never heard a word about it shutting down so im in the dark about this but like ya said it is what it is ..history now .
Oh when it comes to cars i think i have a wee problem 
Factory sounds from 03 were crap and im affraid 25 watt speckers just dont cut the mustard when it comes to metal..so now the smallest speckers are 300 watts and 450 watts and the sub is 1200 watts ..its clean sound with a good amount of bass but not too much..its a lovely balance and it will be used again on my way to Auckland this Wednesday

Yeah, I don't tend to crank things up that much anymore... and the door skins vibrating makes an annoying buzzing addition to the music...
