No, most of us change ideas frequently until we find one which works best.

Except Dizzy, he just builds ALL of them.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Not for this Group Build. I use KISS (Keep It Stupidly Simple). Small number of parts, limited paint palette and minimal decals.

Saying that.... I do have an early Hobbyboss Typhoon kit (44 parts in total) and some decals for a Ukrainian Su-27.......

Gondor's Modelling Rule Number Three: Everything will fit perfectly untill you apply glue...

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

So does anyone else meticulously plan out their build for weeks, and then with 12 hours to go start considering a totally different project?  :banghead:

Yes, of course, it's the normal way... ;D
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Right then. 1WGB22 has started in my time zone, so I've unlocked the Finished Builds thread.

Good luck with all of the planned entries, enjoy the GB.  I'm sure we're all eager to see the various completed items before the GB closes.

I'll provide an update on the vote later in the week.

Exactly me for this one, I had an ambitious one all planned out, but realized my work and life was going to be a challenge these next 10 days, took a hard look at home much cutting and putty was involved and put it to the back of the bench and went with a simple build.

I wish I had as much sense, and will power, to do the same.

And that's after less than a day working in my GB entry.  :banghead:

Well, well, well.  First finished entry, and what a belter!
Encouraging/appreciative comments from forumites, too (unsurprisingly).  But could I ask please that these go - as per usual GB practice - in the applicable build thread?  This then keeps the 'finished builds' thread clear for exactly that.
Meanwhile Chris will in due course move the current comments to the applicable build thread.
Thanks for your understanding.

Well, where has the week gone?  We're already more or less at the start of the second half of the 1WGB and it won't be long before I have to set up the vote.

Just so you know, I'm away from home this weekend, back late 20 June so will:
- lock the completed entries thread no later than midday 20 June;
- set up and run the vote in the morning of 21 June.

As in previous years expect the vote to run for seven days.  I'll announce when the vote is open and it will close automatically - results will be automatically revealed at the end.

Well done all who've completed their excellent entries.  We're all now in (or just about to enter) the final 1WGB22 straight.

Best of luck to those who are pushing hard to finish and post their entries by GB's end.

Not sure how far west our westernmost 1WGB participant is, but assuming Honolulu and will lock the completed entries thread at 1100 GMT/UTC.
